Unsure which power meter you need for your bike? This guide will break it down and help you understand the options.
Step 1: Start with the crank.
To use a crank-based power meter like the Sigeyi AXO SL, you will need a crank arm with a removable spider. The Spider or Direct Mount chainring will be removed and replaced by the power meter and new chainring.
The below pictures are examples of crank arms where the spider is not removable, and therefore not compatible:

Once you have confirmed that you do have a crank with a removable spider, you need to determine which interface it uses. Below are examples of the most common interfaces:

Sigeyi AXO SL Power Meter options
For SRAM 8-bolt cranks:
Used on current SRAM Road and MTB (T-type) cranksets, as well as older road cranksets and MTB power meter cranksets. Fasten with 8 x Torx 20 bolts.
| Crank Interface | Bolt Circle Diameter | Weight | |
| AXO SL SRAM 8-bolt MTB | 8-bolt | 104 bcd | 75g |
| AXO SL SRAM 8-bolt ROAD | 8-bolt | 110 bcd (asymmetrical) | 78g |
- In most cases, gravel bikes can use either of the above options. If you are running a larger chainring (40t and up) we recommend the 110 bcd version. The 104 bcd is better for smaller chainring sizes.
- For double ring Road drivetrains the 110bcd version must be used.
For SRAM 3-bolt cranks:
Used on previous generation MTB cranksets (non-transmission) and some legacy road cranksets, as well as some entry-level current generation cranks. Fasten with 3 x Torx 25 bolts.
| Crank Interface | Bolt Circle Diameter | Weight | |
| AXO SL SRAM 3-bolt MTB | 3-bolt | 104 bcd | 70g |
| AXO SL SRAM 3-bolt ROAD | 3-bolt | 110 bcd (asymmetrical) | 75g |
- In most cases, gravel bikes can use either of the above options. If you are running a larger chainring (40t and up) we recommend the 110 bcd version. The 104 bcd is better for smaller chainring sizes.
- For double ring Road drivetrains the 110bcd version must be used.
For Shimano Direct Mount cranks:
Works on Shimano MTB cranks with removable spider. Most current generation cranks are compatible, some Deore level cranks and below are not compatible, should be checked.
Fasten with Shimano Direct Mount Lockring, TL-FC41 tool.
| Crank Interface | Bolt Circle Diameter | Weight | |
| AXO SL Shimano MTB | Shimano DM | 104 bcd | 82g |
*On certain Shimano cranks, a Negative 3mm offset chainring must be used to achieve correct chainline. See Chainline notes here
For RaceFace Direct Mount cranks:
Works on RaceFace Cinch system. Fasten with Cinch lockring and Cinch tool, same as ISIS standard BB tool.
| Crank Interface | Bolt Circle Diameter | Weight | |
| AXO SL RF MTB | RaceFace Cinch | 104 bcd | 77g |
For ROTOR Kapic cranks:
Cranks using the ROTOR Kapic interface. Modular system that fastens with spindle bolt.
| Crank Interface | Bolt Circle Diameter | Weight | |
| AXO SL ROTOR Kapic | ROTOR | 104 bcd | 76g |
Once you have found the correct Sigeyi power meter for your bike, you will need a chainring. More info about chainrings and offset can be found here
